yes but we shouldn't abuse them or try and stop them too much or else that is just wrong and then when we do that we aren't just taking care of their population we are killing to save our own lives.

And. . . what's wrong with killing to save our own lives?

i understand that we all hold our life higher than thiers but when we get to killing them too much or doing it too often we need to back off. and it's not only about killing it's about sharing the environment. humans have houses and cities to live in but they have the wild and as we build our cities they lose their homes and way of life. if they did that to us we'd get mad so that's why they get mad too. but also there is the thing about animal respect, about dogs adn cats and any pet being treated badly like beaten. that is not right.

It's not right according to you. It's not right according to me. But there are those who would disagree, so you should probably explain why it's not right.

because no living thing should be treated that way.when we are born we are taught that it is bad to hurt another person and it is bad to be hurt so why do it to an animal just because it may be a lesser being than you?

Because we may have something to gain.
You can't make generalizations like "no living thing should be treated that way" because I'm just gonna ask why not until we start to reach points that are based on facts not opinions.

well for the first kinda fact look at the bible. it says somewhere about treating things with respect or somehting of that kind and with animal rights that includes animals.

In politics it's best to stay clear of the Bible. Because for one thing church and state are supposed to stay separate, and also it's hard to treat a 2000+ year old book as fact.

okay well I am just saying htat no animal should be hurt that way. when you get beaten you hurt and hwen you hurt you feel bad adn degraded adn that is bad so therefore you should not beat an animal .

Um. . . I still not understanding your logic. Sure if you get beaten you get hurt which isn't fun but how does that relate to not doing that to animals?

becuase it's not fun to them either and even though they may not have the same iq as people do or the same smartness or whatever they have the same feelings and that means that we shouldn't abuse them.

Why not? What did they do to deserve our respect?

what did WE do to deserve THEIR respect??? they just want to live, and live nicely not have a bad life, don't you want to live.?

Yes, but here's the thing: We did nothing to deserve their respect. We don't get respect from them. Many animals would kill people if they could. We're just too smart for that. If animals were smart they could stop animal abuse much in the same way us humans stop them from attacking us.

but that doesn't make it right to hurt them like that.
