Fables fighting kicks morrowinds ass BUT the pretty much no load times Morrowind make it feal more like a huge world. I like the good and evil aspect of Fable very much and the charecter models look great but there arent all the guilds of morrowind.

I think that morrowind is better in almost every way. I have played fable's battle system, and frankly, I think that morrowind might be better. Imagine: Difficulty set at 175%. You creep through a dark dungeon without a torch. Suddenly, glowing eyes rush at you. Dodging left, you swing your blade in a wide arc. Now, diving at it, you bring the blade down over your head and extinguish the beast's life in a singe blow. As opposed to: You are threatened, some shoot at you. You press some buttons and they eventually die.
My point is this: Morrowind feels so right to -Role Play- the whole point of RPGs. Speaking of a Morrowind RP... I might start one tomorrow. That would be the snaps. er, the craps. er, the crates?

Yes, of course Morrowind is going to sound more appealing when you word it that way but essentially, it is the same thing....You see the monster, click while holding left, click while holding forward. You cant just say Morrowind is better because you have more fun pretending "youre" in the world...There are things better done in Morrowind yes, but there are things better done in Fable as well...I'm sure you have other points but honestly, this one was pretty weak.

Quite frankly, this is impossible for me. Morrowind is HUGE with enormous levels of customization, plus it has tons of quests. Fable has a more fast-paced, in-depth combat system, allows purchasing of any house or store (once the inhabitants are dead, of course.) and has the whole alignment/appearance thing, which allows me to have horns the size of traffic cones. Oh yeah, and decapitaying headshots on traders...heh heh...traders.

I haven't played fable, but can you virtually create your own expansions with fable? Can you make gold that can be thrown at people, exploding on contact? Can you edit the program line on an Xbox? If you can, that's news to me. Also, morrowind is huge, and leveled items and creatures makes it so that you ca always come back for seconds, or fourths, for that matter. Lastly, in fable, can you walk up to some weird guy in a city that will sell you rats that fight for you and carry small burdens?

Okay, I agree that my feelings on Morrowind's battle system are pretty much isolated in me, but thats what I feel when ever I unsheath my sword (which could be custom made). But something I find really funny, is that almost everyone in this thread has played morrowind, but only about half have played Fable. I realize this is a small sample of the millions of gamers around the world, but I think that this proves that Fable was a little over-hyped. From the sound of it, it isn't nearly as non-linear as Morrowind, even though the developers claimed it was one of the most free form games on the market. And I have a question. was Fable full of hundreds of pages of text in built-in books digging deep into the history and lore of not only the played zones, but the whole game world? Yes, there were hundreds of pages, if not more, of books in Morrowind.
