this is a large issue in almost everyone's life at some point, especially the life of teenagers. my question (two question actually) is this: Are teenagers capable of experiencing true love, or is it all just strong infatuation? If it is true love, how long should a person wait before actually saying those critical words, I love you?

i believe teenagers can love. they have it in their hearts to love, but it may not be that same love that we learn down the road, the love that we want and should have when we get married. I know some might have already found it but others have just found out that they truly can love. there are also other times where it's just passion that is mistaken for love. sometimes you just have to figure out what you truly know you love and what you just maybe liked a whole lot. and when that person knows it's love and really truly knows it then that is when they should say those three words. becuase then they truly mean it and you don't wanna hold something like that back from someone.

K fine, tis story time.
Long story short, I thought I loved my first g/f. Turns out I didn't. . . What do ya know?
Anyway after I made that mistake, I swore I would never tell anyone I loved them unless I truly meant it

i agree sometimes you think you may love a person even though in your heart you truly don't, it was just a passionate moment or just a feeling you had then

Well, first of all, love is completely different than infatuation. Some people can't see that until they're out of the relationship. Also, love is completely different for different people. Two people who are planning to get married have a stronger love than kids in a high school relationship. Sure the kids can think they're in love, and can be in love, yet it's not near the extent of that of a married relationship. And that is how it should be. Also as to how long you should wait to say it... it is different for different people. You should be sure you know ur own feelings and that you can say it. Once you say it you can never take it back and you need to realize that sometimes not saying it could show the other person how much you care about them more than saying "i love you" ever could.

that is true and I definatley agree because once you say it and then if you take it back it really hurts. and that's the part I don't like about love. it really hurts sometimes.

I use to believe in love. I believed I truely loved someone, I still do. But, then again I have given up on love. So, I know it exsist. It isnt just something you know. It is something that you feel. You can never learn to love. It just happens, like I said. Also, most things happen that have to do with like and love are true I think. You cant just lie about it, can you?

i have decided that love is a meaningless emotion, and is no better than hatred. as thus, I shall not declair in on this topic further seeing as im on a quest to kill all emotions. infatuation (or smitten as I prefer to call it), are included in this. now im limiting my judgement on having a regular female companion off of logic and how much improved or deproved my life was with them compaired to a life with more freedom/no regular female companion.
