We the smartest! There, okay? It's as simple as that. Overall, humans are smarter than animals. I know what Gamerman's gonna say: "Oh, but some people are mentally challenged, therefore it's not something which makes us unique, blah blah blah" And to that I say, "who the **** cares?" So what? All humans are not 100% unique. We're the smartest by far, but not unique in the sense that a portion of humans are not as smart as the rest. Even that portion is still very smart; more so than animals still. But you seem determined to prove we are no better than animals. Well, I say we are, and I stand by it. Gamerman, all you've managed to prove so far is that mentally challenged people are not better than animals. It's a mean thing to say, but you said it. Not me.

1.) umm most animals are inquisitive, and most animals will learn 2.) otter's use of rocks is far better... and the beaver's use items to help them build dams/dens. *sigh* 1) no other animal actually explores, or looks for knowledge. 2) an otter's use of rocks is "far better" than our use of fire, or electricity?

I would say not going into the "paranormal beliefs of mine" that humans are infact the dominate creatures of the world. I mean we are afar more intelligent in mind we can speak and learn from experiences ect. But, as usually there is the other point I must make...How do we know this. How do we know that humans infact just believe and are lead to believe that we are the dominate creatures of the world. I mean for al we know some squirrel out there could be planning on taking over the world or something. I know that wasnt the best example. But, like okay, lets do this the French what language do they speak...french. What language do we speak...english. Dogs...what language do they speak...well to us it is Dog...and cats what language do they speak...Cat...well the point is that we speak different from the french yet they are still dominate in the human race as much as we are...so why arent dogs and cats...huh? How do we know that everytime they come up to us...they are trying to tell us something? Well, that is the thing and that is that point but I g2g.
Much Loves,
Shannon

*tee hee* that's from Huckleberry finn and you do have a point. like in hitchikers guide to the galaxy the mice have been in charge all this time and yet we humans thought we were in charge of them. but what about dolphins and other smart animals they could also be in charge and yet if they are why aren't they taking back what we stole from them?

Again with the animals!
They most certainly could not be in charge. And please, the term "other smart animals" is nearing oxymoron. Sure some of them are a little smarter than the rest, but absolutely none are even close to the level we are at.

and yet we as humans are the ones ruining our earth in countless ways and overpopulating while the animal kingdom is practically thriving...oh yeah sure we're the most advanced but that doesn't make us the smartest I mean have you seen any animal polluting the air lately?

Only because they don't have the intelligence to design and build a factory that could pollute the air. We are the smartest, so get over it.

an intelligent chimp is smarter than a mentally challenged human... and dolphin's intelligence we can't read, for all we know, the only thing preventing them from ruling is the ability to transmit knowlege over generations.
this is why I think writing is what makes us unique... there are otehr animals that can build, destory, so on and so forth... the only problem with that is that means we were just part of the kingdom prior to 3,000 BC(E). thats why above it... I put fire we are the only animal that uses fire, and one of only 2 that isn't scared of it (water animals dont count... we can't really test them) [rinos stomp them out].

Some humans are scared of fire, just as some humans are not as smart as chimps (or so you say).
Anyways, I'm just saying us humans are overall the smartest. We can test dolphins intelligence and they aren't that smart.

ya, but intelligence is not collective, its individual, so unless its true for everyone, it can't be a unique trait of humans. now if its used for something collective, then that collective thing is what makes us unique
and ive seen what we have to test intelligence, the strongest thing we have is sign language learning, and that isn't a fair test for dolphin, and its not all that good of a test for all around intelligence either.

Do you honestly think dolphins are smarter than us in general?
