Hey, don't go bitter. Just because I like playing characters that are really bat-guano-freaking-out-there...
It's better than the overused standard races and classes. Every aspect of those has been done soooo many times.

Hey, nothing wrong with being unique. But it can cause implications to be out of the norm.

Why not just choose a normal race but make it really weird. Like, with point buy, put many of your points into charisma with an orc, and maybe even make a bard out of him, his insturment: a gong.
You don't have to be some race that no one has ever heard of. (Which can make it hard for the DM, cause then they have to look into a whole new race and what it is capable of).
But, I have to say, I think it's cool how everyone in the party is something odd in our campaign. But next campaign I have, I'm gonna have everyone stick with what's in the PHB and PHBII.
Also, I took those two tests:
Neutral Good Dwarf Barbarian STR: 11 DEX: 15 CON: 13 INT: 14 (14/14) WIS: 10 CHA: 11
In order of what I got: Race: Dwarf 31.6 Half-Orc 20.1 Halfling 19.9 Human -13.3 Gnome -13.6 Elf -17.4
Class: Barbarian 37.5 Fighter 18.3 Paladin 16.7 Druid 16 Monk 12.5 Ranger 5.9 Cleric -2.3 Rogue -4.9 Wizard -28.3 Sorcerer -29
Alignment: Neutral 26.1 Lawful 25 Chaotic 18.9
Good 41.4 Neutral 20 Evil -5.9

Interesting, I took it a second time and got Neutral Good Elf Ranger... my favorite class/alignment/race...
took the stat test again too, this time got a 1 higher in wisdom and 1 in dex. Didnt do the int one again, just took my IQ/10. Which is cool as those are perfect ranger stats.

str 12 dex 16 con 15 int 13 wis 13 cha 12 (which is unrealistic so lets just go with 10)

Either way, just looked at the source of the quizes, both suck and appear to be written by ametuers... perhaps we should write our own...

We should have our own D&D quiz, but it'll still be difficult to make it very acurate >_>.

meh, we can try, perhaps we should start simple with alignment... ok post a question and what it modifies for example...
(bad example) A person goes up to you on the street do you... A: Kill them (evil +1) B: Try to be their friend out of the goodness of your heart (good +1)
Then ill write the program and see how accurate we get...

Well, we can't have anythign with "kill them" as for a realistic quiz, that'll (hopefully) never get chosen. Allignment is probably the hardest part. Maybe if the question is something like: "If someone killed a family member, would you: A. Take revenge and kill them in the most painful way B. Let the police deal with it. C. Forgive them of their sin, humans make mistakes after all." I guess even that is kinda weird, but that's pretty much as good as it gets when determining alignment... Also, perhaps: "If you ever stole anything, what would be the reason? A. For someone else who needs it. B. So I can have it to myself." I dunno...alignment is hard...
But strength should be easy, just have them list how much weight they can carry. Apply it to that table in the PHB and that could figure out strength.

How do you know when you're carrying a medium load though? When you can only move 20 feet in 6 seconds?

I guess you'd go by how much you can lift over your head. >_> Like it it's 150 lb, then your strength would be 13.
Also, I was thinking (now, this may be stupid/may not even be acurate) maybe for dex, we can have someone make ranged touch attacks (I believe, like a dodge ball) at the quiz taker, and have some sort of percentage decide what their dexterity would be. such as if someone throws 10 dodge balls at you, and like 5 hit your dex wouldn't be too good, but alright, and also we'd ahve to assume that said person got like an average of 10 on his attack rolls (with no bonus, being a commoner). I doubt any of this makes sense to you guys, but whatever, it was just a thought.

that's just not feasible. Also for strength, you'd just ask how much they can bench press then.
