Yeah, 3 and 3.5 are pretty close, very few differences. It wouldn't be worth it to update at this point. Anyhow, I want to bring this up onoffically here in the DnD thread: isadale.proboards62.comThis is actually more of a skeleton of a forum and you might not know what's going on, so just look around, I'm going to make a thread about it eventually, but you should be able to ask questions here, too. I'm too tired to explain it very thoroughly right now...

Like in real life? If so, probably. If you meant on the site - definately. The only problem I can see with you playing with us is the fact that my landlord *coughMOTHERcough* probably wouldn't be too happy to learn that someone who plays DnD also celebrates Wiccan rituals. She's sorta christian and already thinks the game is evil as it is. So you could probably join us if you promised not to make many remarks about how some god is gonna Pwn Jesus with the r0x0r 1337 spell of d00m. If you don't do that then you can join us.

Hmmm.... I wasn't planning on it, but now that you mention it, Pwning Jesus with the r0x0r 1337 spell of d00m does sound like a good idea... j/k

The nice thing is that the two are so close, with a few changes, you can play a fun game of DnD 3.25, which is what my group does. oh, and P.S: I'm back. P.P.S: Jiub, it may not help you with understanding them, but the psionic rules can be found online at d20srd.org.

Alright, kinda wondering what you guys would think of a new class I'm thinking about introducing to the campaign. It's called the "Streetfighter", it's a martial class that can basically be really defensive or really offensive. It gets a very limited bit of magic (touch, damage only) at higher levels, but that isn't really enough to replace an arcance character, just enough to overcome some DR if the need arises. I'd like some feedback on this one Is it too strong, too weak, have ideas for class feats? Tell me, this is my first class so I'm expecting it to need tweaking.
skills: 2 + int class skills: Balance, Climb, Concentration, Escape Artist, Heal, Knowledge (combat), Spot, Swim, Tumble BAB: 2/3 per level (good progression) HD: d8 saing throw: see rogue progression Streetfighters are proficient with light and medium armor* but not with shields *streetfighers may only use improved dodge bonuses with light or no armor
1 - specialized weapons*, dodge, quick reaction (dodge against 1+ int modifier) 2 - improved dodge (dodge at +2) 3 - improvised weapons penalty reduced by 2 4 - uncanny dodge 5 - class feat 6 - may take DR 1/+1 against dodge targets 8 - magical boost (special weapons get +1 to attack and 1d6 fire, ice, or acid damage added up to 2 + con modifier per day), improved uncanny dodge 9 - 10 - class feat, improvised weapon proficiency 11 - 12 - may take DR 2/+1 against dodge targets 13 - 14 - 15 - class feat, supreme dodge (dodge at +4) 16 - Magical boost (special weapons get +3 to attack and 1d10 damage up to 4 + con mod per day) 17- specialized improvised weapon focus (+1 on attacks rolls with slashing or peircing or crushing improvised weapons) 18 - may take DR 3/+1 against dodge targets 19 - 20 - class feat
Epic- class feat every 5 levels, 1 extra magical boost per day/level
Abilities: - streetfighers get dodge as a bonus feat at level one, even if they do not meet the prerequisites - Class Damage Reduction: every 6 levels, a streetfigher learns to roll with attacks well enough that they can shrug off a small amount of damage from an enemy they are closely watching (dodge target). - class feats: streetfighters learn to excell at certain aspects of their practice, these feats symbolize extra time spent in these fields - improved dodge: dodge bonus when using the dodge feat is increased to +2 - magical boost: starting at level 8, streetfighters may add magical damage to their attacks and use careful expertise when using these strikes. This bonus increases at level 16. You must call the use of the magial boost before you roll for attack, bonuses do not apply on a miss. - Quick Reaction: streetfighters are able to apply their dodge bonus to up to 1 + their intelligence modifier of opponents - Specialized weapons: level 1 street fighers start with 10 + their int modifier of "proficiency points". Proficiency with a simple weapon costs 1 point, proficiency with a martial weapon costs 3 points and exotic weapons cost 7 points. Streetfighters may select unarmed fighting as a martial weapon. Streetfighers are proficient with and only with the weapons they spend their points on. These weapons are then considered "special weapons" to this streetfigher when it pertains to class abilities and cannot be altered once choosen - Supreme dodge: at level 15, streetfighers become experts at evading opponent's attacks. The dodge bonus granted by the feat dodge increases to +4 .
class feats: (streetfighters may take combat expertise, evasion and improved evasion as seperate class feats)
Coercive fighting: preqs: - description: if you are fighting defensively, all allies adjacent to you gain a +1 dodge bonus to all attacks against oppenents adjacent to them.
Inner strength: preqs: con 11 description: adds generic +1 enhancement bonus to a special weapon's attack when in your hands, still counts as itself in all other ways
inner strength, Improved: preqs: con 13, inner strength, streetfigher level 10 description: boosts enhancement bonus to +2
inner strength, Greater: preqs: con 15, improved inner strength, streetfighter level 15 description: boosts enchancement bonus to +3
focused defense: preqs: streetfighter level 10, int 13, con 13 description: all DR against up to their total number of dodge targets become x/- for the rest of that round (where x is current DR +1 per every 4 character levels) if the succeed on a concentration check (DC 10 + the number of choosen opponents). If this check fails, DR remains normal against all attacks that round. This feat may be invoked as a free action any time after dodge targets have been selected but may only be attempted once per round.
Extra magical boost: preqs: streetfighter level 10 description: streetfighter gains an extra magical boost use once per every four character levels/day
Supreme unarmed fighting: preqs: streetfighter level 10, unarmed special weapon, int 15 description: streetfigher's unarmed damage rises to 1d8
Super-human dodge: preqs: streetfigher level 20, int 15, con 13: description: streetfighter may add his intelligence modifier to his dodge bonus against his dodge targets for up to 4 + constitution modifer rounds. Each frenzy costs two magical boost charges. Super-Human frenzy: preqs: streetfigher level 20, con 15, int 13 description: streetfigher gains a +2 bonus to strength, constitution, and dexterity for up to 4+ constitution modifier rounds. Each frenzy costs two magical boost charges.
Super-Human haste: preqs: streetfighter level 20, con 15, dex 13 description: streetfigher is under the effects of haste for up to 4+ constitution modifier rounds. Each use expends two magical boost charages.
(general feat) Greater unarmed fighting: preqs: unarmed special weapon or improved unarmed fighting. description: unarmed damage rises to 1d6

So, since we are all nearing our 10th level and such, chances are we're gonna end up starting new characters and campaigns soon. Anyone have any ideas figured out for their next character?

heh, I have about a million ideas, actually for characters. I've learned that don't really like monstrous races that much... I mean, they're cool, but the level adjustment sucks. If we continue playing with Isadale (and I hope we do), then I have a character plotted out that ties into my next (even looser) campaign. He's a lawful good fighter/cleric (eventually kensai) that worships Saint Cuthbert (God of retribution for any of you non-nerds). He's pretty cool, got some amazing rolls for his stats, too. He asks that people call him "Tithis", and there's actually some story behind that "name". I also considered starting a gnome bard, just so that I could talk in a funny voice and give him a name like.... Swiney Barrel-Baron or something. I could change his name whenever I felt like it and still be in character. Anywho, those are my ideas when I'm not gonna be the DM. As for the new campaign, you can start new characters if you wish, but I hope you guys roleplay at least long enough to drag into the next part of the story. I was also thinking about getting a forgotten realms campaign setting and/or the palyers handbook II if people wanted to help me pay for them. We could do pre-made adventures for a bit... just always something I wanted to try.

Yeah, we gotta finish your quest before we start new characters. I'm gonna finish my quest soon too, cause I'm getting bored of DMing for now.

Heh, alright, well, my quest is almost finished.... oh well, I've been making up a pretty deep and non-linear game for an "epilouge" that might be fun for awhile. Also, I would like to remind Mods of Isadale to update their settings once in awhile, I know that lobs does this, but I see almost no activity from the other members. I know that Azan has ideas up his sleeve, and from what I've heard they're pretty good. If Jiub doesn't come back from *psh* "having a life" soon, I might just let demon or possibly even vash take over the pyrefields.
