I agree, very poor. If you want a blog for yourself buy webspace at like 3 bucks a month, then you have no adds and you can have your own domain (IE http://www.yourname.com). Not only that but if you get enough people to visit you can put google adds on it and make money from it.

Well, in another thread we decided that things that exploited people for money weren't bad in that regard. They make money off of advirtising when kids really feel like talking about their private lives. It's sad, yeah, I guess; but it's really just another way to make money. There's nothing extremely vile or wrong about that.

Well I didnt mean that it was bad they were making money off of it, is what I meant by the adverts is that they are annoying and you can find other blogs for free that dont have them or make your own website with more control, then you can put your own adverts and get paid by them.

I don't hate it, I just have no interest in it.

[glow=red,2,300]I dunno, it's good for looking up music and stuff. Like, if you are in some sort of garage band or something, Myspace is a good way to get your music into the public.[/glow]

I have a MySpace, but I only use it for communication. It makes it easy for me to talk to some of my friends who never go on AIM or YIM. What's bad about MySpace isn't the website itself, it's the people that don't have a life outside of MySpace that make it bad.

I'll second that. I like ranting and myspace lets me do it for free. I like talking, again, free. I check on it once every couple of days and it's fine. I'm planning on posting stories and stuff on there. Seriously, I've decided that I'm not going to stop liking things just because they're popular, they're popular for a reason. Also, in reverse, I'm not going to like things just because they aren't well known. It's kinda fun, but that's about where it ends for me. In conclusion. Eh, it's not evil, it's not even really stupid, it's just popular.

Eli got a myspace account? Yeah, ranting is good, but IMO it just leads to complications. Waay to many people take what people say the wrong way, especially on the internet.

Everyone is getting myspace! Before we know it it's gonna pwn the world!...or not... Anyways yeah, ranting is good in moderation, and on the net everyone will just take every bit too seriously and probably just call you a n00b, unless they actually know you in RL.
