Then, Azan, how is playing God wrong in any way? I mean, if altering his creation is alright if we have the means, than how come you disagree that animals are ruled by humans?

Im making the statement that its not wrong at all, just that we cant go around modifying all animals, its not a matter of faith but common sense and I did agree that animals were ruled by humans(well ruled in the sense that we have to look over them)

well if we're talking about being god and all shouldn't we also think about the dp? but anyway I agree that GE is good yes it does have some side effects but doesn't everything we do? but if it's for the greater good then we should do it.

But animal testing is also for the greater good, and yet you disagree with that also?

yes but that is killing living animals. the cute ones that are all around us. they aren't plants that I really care nothing about I mean they are living breathing animals. with GE I can really see it doing a lot of good for all man kind.

When you eat animals they had to be killed, and plants technically are living and breathing too...

In fact, plants are much better than animals because animals eat up our food, where as plants don't. And animals breath up all the air, and plants do just the opposite.

Yes but animals cross pollinate plants, without animals plants wouldnt be able to survive and without plants animals couldnt survive (plants and animals have evolved to depend on each other now) but then again, plants would be more likely to survive (but the top one is humans because they can kill all)

Animals only pollinate plants because plants evolved in an environment that included animals as a simple way of moving pollen.

Non the less they still require each other to survive

Yeah, but they wouldn't if they had evolved in an environment without animals. If we took away the animals NOW, then some plants would die out.

Thats true, Darwins theory would really be put to the test as plants would fight to survive and only the stongest would, then we get a super plant that cant be killed then it somehow becomes self aware and goes aroung killing things

yeah well either way we have to kill something to survive I mean yes plants are alive too but I like animals better no offense to plants or anything but still and I think it would be better and more useful if we used GE on plants

Animals may be smarter but if I had to choose to kill all animals (beside humans) and all plants I would choose all animals (except humans)

Hmm... If all animals were removed from the ecosystem, would a plant eventually evolve into a more animal-like creature? I wonder...
