No I meant as in theres a huge army (lets say Canada) coming down and attacking, if we are losing and we are in direct threat you have to draft.

Yeah, but now the question is when do we have the draft? What if we don't get the draft bill passed before it's too late?

Hmm good point, we should pass a bill saying that when US citizens are directly in danger and the military is too thin the president can enforce an immediate draft or something like that.

bur wouldn't it be congress instead of the president?
and anyway if we did have something like a surprise attack or whatever you'd think we would've known about it somehow and have been able to make troops ready to fight and to go into war when we need them.

But what if there just aren't enough troops to go to war, even if we do know there will be a war?

o you just watch me try! I will stop all war and then no one will get killed cuz war is stupid and only us humans really get into war because we are superior.

I wish you luck on your endeavor, even though it is foolish to attempt to stop war.

the only thing is if someone really did try to stop war then they would get killed themselves and that would ruin the whole plan

And so you see it would take the entire world's agreement to put a stop to war, which probably isn't going to happen anythime soon.

yeah with trying to get everyone to stop having wars we'd probably have one instead

But it's definitely worth a try. If you wanted to stop all war, what would you do?

its hard to decide. u have to think of different things other than, "i'm going to die" if there was a draft, then the reasons would have to be pretty good and the situation would be very serious. then maybe you would want to join the army anyways because then u know that ure doing everything u can to protect your loved ones. now if we were helping some other country that needs help, that would be different. I dont want to, in a way, sacrifice myself to help someone I dont know. u have to think about wut it would be like if there was really a draft. wut would u be thinking in different cirumstances.

either way it's suicide so the question isn't really about wanting to I mean if you are drafted you are sent to your death unless you are extremely lucky that's just the way it is
Lobstrosity I don't know what I would do but I would just want all of the contries to sign a peace treaty so that we all understand eachother and if we didn't get along I would like to TALK about it not start a war about it.
i know it wouldn't be that simple but that's what I would try to do. if I did.

Yeah if there is a draft, you are sent no matter what (unless you are a girl), but the question is when should we have a draft, I think that's what Bad-Monkey was trying to say. He meant that if we are protecting our own country that we should have a draft, but if we are defending an ally we shouldn't use a draft (correct me if I'm wrong Bad-M) And good luck with the global peace treaty Chica
