I don't think there is, unless people learn to make good decisions and respect other people's decisions.

which will never happen because we are humans and we are stupid and arrogant.

This is true, but perhaps someday a future generation will realize that everyone is equal and that violence is only useful as a punishment.

why should violence be used at any time? I think it should just be gotten rid of even as a punishment. which is hard when you have two little boys arguing in three different continents adn trying to stop them all! aghhhhh its confusing. but why should it even be used as a punishment?

I believe that war, sadly, will never dissapear. There are just to many violent psychos out there, such as Joseph Stalin, Saddam Hussein, and George W. Bush. However, this dosen't mean that we as humans shouldn't control ourselves. War should only be used as an absolute last resort to deal with extremely imminent or occuring threats. Let's examine, for example, some of America's past and present wars.
WWI- Pointless. This happened out of revenge. Diplomacy was'nt even considered before the first two countries went to war, drawing their allies in with them. Our reason for joining was equally stupid. The germans threatened that if we brought in any more supplies to their foes, they would attack our supply ships. So when it does happen, we act surprised and go to war!
WWII- More justified. Our resons for going in were slightly better, Japan surprised attacked us for taking away our oil shipments to them. And then with that, we got dragged into europe as well.
Vietnam, Korea and Grenada- WHAT THE HELL? We had NO reason to go to any of those countries!
1st Gulf War- Stupid. We attacked Iraq for attacking an oil buddy of ours. A war fueled by greed.
Afghanistan- Justified, but very poorly executed. They attacked us, we counterattack killing scores of civillians and missing our target (Bin Laden) completely. Good job, morons!
Iraq- Another greed war, coated in lies. We lie multiple times about our reasons, kill (at least) 100,000 civilians, get the rest of the world hating us, and then use Saddam as a scapegoat for 9/11. (HE HAD NOHING TO DO WITH IT!) Why did we go in again? Oh, that's right, THE OIL!

okay... interesting... as strange of a reasoning you have, it's true, violence will most likely always be a part of our society. it's our nature as humans.

Demon, whatever you're smoking, you have to stop, man! All of those wars were justified as far as I know.

I think recently people have been making good progress, there aren't really any big groups of people who want little groups of people dead, like the Nazis. Except in the middle east.

Hey jiub, you know what I think would be good? You actually intelligently responding to my points instead of blindly saying the same unsupported thing over and over.
Here's another one for you lobstrosity, justify Grenada.

something tells me that demon will abuse karma... anyway, yeah, i'm kinda the same way andrew is on this one, I don't know what you're talking about. well, i've heard of it, but i'm not going to pretend that I know things when I don't. also, what I said before was sort of a generalization for all wars the U.S. entered. we probably had a good enough threat to our country or our allies to get involved. P.S. Demon, you don't exactly strike me as the pacifist type, or is this just that you are against supposedly unjustified wars?
