One cannot fight unconventional warfare using conventional warfare, our soldiers may be some of the best in the world but it wont stop someone from going into a small and blwoing up a bomb strapped to his chest, notice how most of the casualties on the war in Iraq have been do to terrorists, we need to deal with these kind of wars differently than what we are doing now because america will always be hated by many. And just remember the 9/11 terrorists thought they were the good guys, they came from a place that had no technology, food or water, and they come to America and see all of its big cities, being brought up to believe America is evil they only thought they were fighting the Evil Empire.

there will never be any peace without war i agree. no matter how much we try, there will always be people that were raised to believe that violence solved disputes, and there will always be someone born with pure malevolence, that they will always look to hurt the innocent. for those of you who have seen the matrix, there is a part in the end where they say that the first matrix was designed to be a perfect world, where everyone was happy. No one would accept it, and it failed. Since the beginning of our existence, humans have always used violence regularly. no matter what measures we take to prevent it, it will always be present, as it always has been.

yeah I guess there will be no end to war but why do they start anyway? I mean over the dumbest things. I just don't like war and I hate seeing people die. but I dunno why there can't be an alternative. can someone explain why there can't be?

Some people are bad people at heart, and no amount of peaceful resistance will stop them from wanting to hurt others.

is it really that they are born being bad at heart or is it the choices they make? hmmmm....must think about that one, eh?

either way, if they turn out to be bad people, there is usually no way to make them good again. Any attempt to do so will probably make them hate you even more.
For example, the U.S. was involved in many programs trying to get food and supplies to people after the war. The bad guys of course didn't like that, because they think the U.S. is evil and should stay out of their business.

(the bad people are then excecuted......perfect system still) compared to other countries, we are very spoiled. that's what drives people to hate us. if u think about it, we have the highest percent of obeisity in the world and there are places where it is hard to maintain a healthy weight. we cant say that people are "bad people". they have probably had a bad life and are drivin by anger now.

Is it really our fault that they are so angry? No it is not, and they have no right to attack us because of it.

you see, america is a world power because people hated us before. some people just have different beliefs, so they attack us, and through the mistakes that other countries make, we have been able to make better decisions, win wars, and be a country envied by people, some of them being the same that attacked us in the first place. so, as childish as it may seem, they started it

I know. It would be great if people learned to solve their disputes with words, but there are people that get so mad that they start waging a holy war against some small country, and before you know it the U.S. is trying to solve their disputes, which just makes them hate us, and then they attack us and it's 9/11 all over again.

No you don't. Humity is fun! We think about sex and violence ALL THE TIME! Oh, yeah, I'm a pacifist by the way, so anything I say is as a human, not as an individual. So to answer your question about alternatives, Chica, I've thought about it a number of times. Did you know that certain old "Native" American tribes used to play a very serious wargame much like tag? When one person tagged another, they had to sit, the tribe with the last person standing won the debate. This seems like a reasonable alternative, no? Only one problem: today, if someone tried to start using this system, if they werent shot outright, there would still be violence. If the losing side was angry enough, they could just do a rematch, right? Let's say this keeps going on for a long time. One side knows they are right, the other knows that they are right. Now, this will surely never end. You see, people always resort to violence. If they don't like the results, they kill. Once more I'll use the child reference: If one country doesn't like what another country did, or has, or can be, they simply whine and scream and kick and shoot until they get what they want. That is why there is war, and that is why there always will be war. No matter what.

yeah I guess I see the point that there will always be war. even in the streets if someone is a sore loser at a card game they shoot the person who has won. it's horrible! but do you think there is any way to stop it? I mean yes people will be mean and make bad choices but is there any way to stop that?
