The main reason why people get all angry that their airsoft gun broke, or doesnt work right after a while etc. etc. is because they dont know how to take care of it, ill post what I do to keep them in shape.
1: store guns in room temperature all year round, too cold or too hot remperatures will wreck the rubber seal, which will lower your FPS rating.
2: regularily lube up your gun with 100% Scilicon Sprey, if its not scilicon it will corode the plastic, this is also known as Gun Lube, but you can pick it up cheaper in hardware stores (rather than airsoft stores that charge you 10 times what its worth). You should apply this stuff to the moving parts of your gun (my pistols trigger was squeaky, that fixed it right up, and made it slide better) and spray it down the nozil of your gun, let it drip down in to the workings of the gun (note that this might hurt your FPS for the first couple rounds)(also, dont forget to wipe off access lube, more isnt better, dont be stupid) but doing this will not only extend the life of your gun, it can also increase the FPS and range (by up to 50 feet). Also note that you may have to take your gun apart to lube it properly, some guns cant be taken apart, and many people are unsure of how to take it apart and put it back together, so consult your gun manuel.
More coming soon (possibly) but I think I covered all the important stuff.
