Seig saw the opening, and quickly cleared a path to the necromancer, holy lightning dancing along his blade. He raised his sword above his head and swung with all his might at this dark creature. The necromancer tried to move out of the way, but it was not enough. Seig grinned as he separated its left arm from its body. "Begone!" he commanded as he raised his blade for the killing blow.
The necromancer was not to be beaten so easily, however. With stunning speed, it grabbed Seig by the chest in its remaining hand and lifted him into the air. The Holy Knight of the Dark Glyphs gasped as his very being seemed to be draining away. He watched on in horror as the necromancer's left shoulder stopped spouting dark blood, then began regenerating to form a new arm. This is the end?
"Noooo!" roared the mighty Ezel as he charged at the necromancer. With stunning strength he was able to knock the beast off balance, causing it to drop its victim.
For the second time that day, Seig nearly lost consciousness.
Use it.
No! I can't use it, not yet!
To win you must fight fire with fire, darkness with darkness. Or would you rather die now, weakling?
Seig sat upright, grimacing as he realized just how much had been drained from him. He looked at his sword, noticing it's luster fading, all lightning extinguished. He struggled to his feet and saw Ezel knocked to the ground by the dark caster. "I must." he muttered as he brought his left arm up, pointing its fire red gauntlet towards the necromancer and the entrance that lay beyond. He sheathed his sword and steadied his shaking arm with his right hand. Darkness with darkness.
Slowly but surely, the gauntlet's deep red grew brighter and brighter, and Seig gritted his teeth in pain. Moments later the gauntlet burst into flames, sending a column of hellfire itself at the intended target and everything in between. Seig screamed in agony as his whole arm lit with fire, straining to see the destruction. Immediately a dozen orcs jumped in the way, trying to shield their master, but it would be no use. The screams of orcs filled the air as not only their bodies, but their very souls were consumed by the hellfire. Seig was able to grin through the pain as the necromancer's left arm was incinerated into nothingness, not to be regenerated again. As suddenly as it began, the column of fire dissipated, as did the flames along Seig's arm, revealing burnt armor and charred flesh.
Finally there was a clear path into the cave. The others can handle it from here he thought as he ran as fast as his weakened body would allow him into the cave.
"Don't go in alone, you idiot!" Ezel shouted as he regained his feet, running after the Holy Knight. A number of orcs followed the two inside, intent on stopping their journey. Meanwhile the wounded necromancer and his remaining orc followers blocked off the cave again, preventing the others from following.
((Ok, I plan on posting in the Halo RP tomorrow. This and the Lands of Yrimmus posts should hold you off until then. Also, kill as much as you like, just don't completely end the fight yet please.))

Galos dropped to his knees. The massive expenditure of energy was incredibly draining, even for a half-demon such as himself. Looking up, he saw a great column of fire, then moments later, Sieg rush through the cave enterance, and then the enterance become sealed by a wall of orcs. He saw the necromancer preparing another spell, and rose to his feet in prepation. Rasing his glaive, he rushed twoard the enemy force, hoping to kill the mage, but before he could reach the formation, the blast came rushing twoard him. He put up a wall of force, but without time to prepare it, all it did was prevent the beam from killing him outright. He fell to the ground in indiscribable agony, the dark energy coursing through his body. He struggled to remain consious, and overcoming that, struggled to remain human.

What the hell just happened? What kind of Holy Knight does that?!?
A fair number of the orcs around Vyzz ran to try and block the flames. Vyzz stabbed an oncoming orc in the center of its chest with his dagger, as the orc fell he dropped his sword. Vyzz removed his dagger from the orc and sheathed it. He picked up the orcs sword and proceeded to stab another orc. As he saw Galos fall he rushed over to try and help. As Galos struggled to remain consious Vyzz fought off the orcs around him. The Necromancer was coming closer...

Inside the cave, Ezel desperately fought off the advancing orcs as he followed Seig deeper into the cave. With countless passages leading everywhere, he wondered how Seig knew where he was going. With no idea of where they were going, Ezel coninued to hold the orcs back away from seig as he staggered onward towards his goal.
Ezel was a giant of a man, and his whirlwind of steel was ferocious and unrelenting. Even he, however, had his limits. As his strength began to flag he was slower in his attacks and parries. Soon blows began to rain upon him from many sides, pummeling his armor. Thankfully it held, and he received little damge himself other than the bashing of the weapons against him. Looking back once morehe saw an incredible sight. Two huge metallic doors stood in the path of the trail, and Seig was on the other side struggling to shut them!
"What the hell are you thinking?!" Ezel shouted, rolling through the crack that remained between the doors and helping Seig to shut them completely against the horde of enemies. "You were going to leave me behi-" He paused mid sentence, awestruck by the room they were now in.
The chamber containing the dark glyph was huge, the ceiling rising into the darkness beyond sight. The whole room itself was made of a dark metallic substance, completely covered in runes the warrior had never seen the like of before. And in the center rose a pyramid like pedestal, runes covering it as well. Atop the pedestal sat an orb of the purest black imaginable. Ezel blinked as the orb seemed to swirl within itself in a trance-like dance, reeking of malevolent energies.
Ezel had to turn away, instead focusing on holding the doors shut against the assault of the enemy.
"A dark glyph," Seig whispered as he stumbled up the small pyramid to the orb. Upon reaching the top, he began reading the runes, speaking in a tongue that hadn't been spoken in a century. As he chanted with increasing volume, the orb twirled and twisted within itself more violently, giving off a dark aura that threatened to consume the room. At the climax of the chant the Holy knight thrust his red-gauntleted hand into the sphere and the room went black. When light finally returned, Ezel saw a changed Seig.
Seig still stood atop the pyramid, but this time he posessed two swords now. His right hand blade was left unchanged, a runed holy blade of white metal that ran with lighting. In his other hand however, he posessed what could only be the brother of the first sword. This sword was the same shape and size, only it was made of a black metal with demonic runes along it's length. Whereas Seig's holy blade ran with lightning, this new blade seethed with a fire that looked like it could burn one's soul. Seig looked at his new blade with a malevolent grin of triumph, manipulating it as much as his damaged left arm would allow.
"We have to go now!" Ezel yelled just before the doors burst outward and flung him aside.
"Let them come..." whispered Seig.
As the orcs charged, one in particular pushed and kicked his way to the front. The apparent leader of the group, this orc was bigger and better clothed than the others. It was obvious he was to strike the first blow. Seig didn't move as the orc began his swing, blocking at the last second with his right hand blade of white. He then quickly jabbed with his new sword. Unfortunately the blow did little but pierce the stomach of the orc, Seig's arm too weakened to do much more. The orc looked down at the the sword barely penetrating his body and laughed outright at his opponent. It was but a scratch to him.
His laughing soon changed to screams of pain as he began to writhe. His green skin paled and wrinkled, his body became thinner, and his voice lost it's volume. Soon he was nothing but a dry husk of a creature, and Seig threw him away with ease. Ezel looked on with astonishment as all traces of injury to the knight's left arm had vanished. In fact, Seig seemed stronger than when he had first met him in the forest clearing.
"Holy hell..." he muttered
"Something like that," Seig grinned back as the remaining orcs halted their charge.
Seeing their leader fall so easily, the orcs began a terrified retreat back towards the surface. But Seig had no intent of letting them make their escape to their true master.
With a ferocity greater than even Ezel had shown, Seig slammed into the enemy, slashing and severing wherever he turned. And with each blow his demonic blade struck, he seemed to get stronger.... and more ruthless. Ezel rejoined the knight as they fought their way back to the surface themselves, Seig shouting with glee. Ezel noted that his partner left the deathly wounded alive to suffer the last moments of existence.
"What has happened to him?" he wondered aloud as he disemboweled an orc.
((whew, that took a while))

Galos' skin seemed to boil as he struggled with himself. Then abruptly, it stopped. Rising, there was a fierce fire in his eyes, and flame upon his hands. Raising his hands above his head, he shouted something in an infernal tounge, ending it with "NOW YOU DIE, MORTAL SCUM!" He flung massive fireballs blindly, blasting everything he could see. Ork after ork fell in the blazing inferno, and even Galos' friends found themselves quite nearly being incinerated themselves.
Just barely above the din of the flames could be heard Galos' voice, booming with malevolent laughter.

The Warrior had been seperated from the rest of the group sometime during the frantic melee. His own strength was seeping out of him. The man knew that he only had to old out a little longer - his companions were finishing the last of the orcs and he thought he could hear Ezel's booming warcries echoing from the cave. It was almost over, then. In a final and desperate burst of speed - the fighter landed a fury of blows upon his orcish foes. He hoped he would simply last until he was found.
