Alright, before I say anything, I would like the readers of this thread to know that I have only played 2 games of D20 modern with one character who is melee-based in a ranged world. Alright, now that I've gotten that off my chest... D20 modern seems like it has -potential- to be as fun or (possibly) more fun than DnD in a few situations. I would love to play a game that started mundane (read: realistic) and slowly become arcane (read: fantasy). I really wish I had the core rulebook, as I could easily make up some adventures if not a campaign setting with a bit of information. Anyhow, I can easily see an RP being made of this if we can all get together again and actually RP. Uh, I think it would be cool if we could actually get an RP going with a "DM" and "players" where the DM had a looser role in the game but still made most of the plot lines click (monsters could have "HP" based on a number of posts or "attacks" and players could rougly arbitrate a couple of attacks "per round".) Anyhow, I want some opinions on this, maybe some character ideas, maybe some people willing to pool some money together to pick up the core rulebook.

I'm right here, foo!
And Kiddo, about the melee thing... SHUT UP! I designed the Amsterdam op to be CQB based, but the actions of the party (coughlobbscough) turned it into a good ol' gunfight. Totally not my fault.
Now that I got that over with, about a new modern rp... I'm not entirely sure about this. Rules over the internet are nigh unenforceable. Why don't you just buy, borrow, or download the core rulebook, then run a campaign of your own? Or do spin off adventures of my campaign. Never hurts to have a co-DM.

Kwee hee hee!
Most evilness has been plotted! You shall all suffer greatly! But I can only say this... I hope your constitutions are high, and that you have a rank or two in survival...
So, to those still interested in joining, the party still desperatley needs a techie and a medic, mostly so I can kill my "Doc" NPC and stop doing that damned Deus ex Machina gig so often.
Now... *pulls out a SMG* dance, my PC puppets, DANCE!
Lord, I love DMing.
