OK by about mid november I will have enough money for either a Wii Or a 360. But I cant deside what I want... Oh and I can get a ps3 to much money... I like the Wii and all of the cool things be it truly the only revilutionary consule. But it has no games yet... or atleast any good ones. the 360 has alot of great games and will have alot more cools one comeing out soon as well. like halo 3 res 5 gears fable 2 and so on... Altho it has the red death beam that kills it... but I still cant choose one... what do you all think?

Hmm, a tough decision indeed! I myself own a Wii... and have very little reason to get a 360 because I have a good computer that can run oblivion and such. Here are some of the sides that I would say Wii - Much less expensive. - Games are highly polished. - Intuitive game play. - Games focus on fun rather than graphics and intense action. - 360 games are very likely to be ported to PC... Wii games cannot. - Can play gamecube games perfectly. 360 - Much more powerful graphics wise. - If you do not have a PC that can run high graphics you are missing out on Oblivion/Halo 3/etc. - I have heard that it has trouble playing some Xbox games. Hope that helps. I myself love the wii, just gotta give it a bit more time for some cool games to come out (360 does have the 1 year advantage). (be sure to keep in mind that the Wii is really cheap too... plus its integrated browser and messaging system is pretty nifty indeed). Oh one other thing, Wii is coming out with something called WiiWare in about a year. Basically Nintendo will be releasing SDKs for making Nintendo games... (so for the programmers we can make games... and for the non programmers you can get a ton of little free-cheap games for the wii... idk much about it though, SDK will cost money I believe). And with the Wii games channel you can buy old nintendo games to play on your wii. 64 games are 10$ I believe and older is 5$.

Yeah unfortunately I have never even played a 360 so my opinion will be a bit biased. But its my opinion that you should really get a system based on the games that are out (or will be out) for it. Do some research is all I can say. Keep in mind that wii is gonna have a ton of exclusive games, whereas a lot of games for the 360 will be out for the PC. Wii - Zelda Twilight Princess (pwns) - Super Smash Brothers Brawl (not out) - Metroid (not out) - Mariokart (not out) - Animal Crossing (I think) (not out) (and a lot more games that are coming out) 360 - Halo 3 (not out) - Fable 2 (not out) - Assassins Creed (not out) - UT 3 (I think) (not out) - Bioshock (not out) (and a lot of other cool games)

yeah the 360 has alot of really good games coming out and yes they may be on pc but they will be vista only and I dont have vista... but the wii will have games out soon that are great but they are not out yet and quite frankly there are no really great games cming out soon. as where the 360 will have great games comming out by the end of this year like res 5 and Assasins creed... or so says microsoft confrence at E3... I am kinda leaning towards the 360.. because it would coast so much more to get the great games on pc... pluse the wii will not go up in price so I think I am gouing to get a 360 but I still dont know...

[glow=red,2,300]Yeah, I would get a 360 too, I think. The only really good games for the Wii right now are Twilight Princess, Paper Mario...and...I think that's it...and there are only 3 really great games coming out soon. Whereas the 360 has a bunch of great games out now...with more coming out soon.. The only problem is the price, but hey...if you have enough to get one and pay 60 bucks per game, go ahead. [/glow]

As already mentioned, 360 has Halo 3 much sooner.
Also, Vista sucks for gamers IMHO. It takes far more of the computer's resources to run than XP or other OS's, therefore taking more resources away from whatever game you're playing.
My computer got replaced because Dell tech support sucks the ass, and this new comp has a Vista. On my old comp (with XP) in WoW I was rocking 51 FPS all the time, no hiccups at all. Now, on a comp with virtually identical parts and Vista, I'm stuck with 34'ish FPS and constant stutters.
*endrant on Dell tech support and Vista suckage*

Hey now vista is really nice but you need a really good computer to run it... it would be like running xp on a computer that was made for winows3.1.... your old computer was made for Xp and you new one was made for vista but not for gaming on vista... or at least that is what I gather.... And I agree with you on the dell tch thing,... I sat on tech suptor for 3hours agruing with a guy about how my dvdrom and CD burner was not what I orderd, he kept saying oh but it is a DVD burner.... and the damn thing said DVDRom+CDRW not DVDRW+CDRW india can not do tech suport... we should bring it back to america so people can get what they want...

regarding my comps:
My new comp has the identical parts my old one was made with, just a new frame, and Vista. I got the parts specifically for gaming well. It is important to note both of my comps are laptops, and I have the best parts I could get for them, short of building one myself (ha). As it stands, unless you have more than a couple thousand to spend, there is no way to get Vista to run a game well on a laptop. For desktop I'm sure if you got an elite gaming rig, Vista's impact would be lessened. But hell, those rigs are so money intensive it's not funny.
Therefore, Vista is a step backward for most every gamer. Not a day goes by that I don't consider installing XP on this laptop. The only thing holding me back is with the sheer volume of stuff already on it, it would take forever to set back up.

I'll agree with you for the most part, vista is a system hog. And for laptops it could be devastating.
But the only thing Vista really needs is more ram, anything below 2 gigs makes it impossible to run current games well.
Unfortunately when I built my own PC for about 900 dollars (minus monitor) I only got 1 gig, but I soon bought another for about 60 bucks and it runs things just fine. And the computer I have is top of the line pretty much, I could easily build a computer for about 600-700 dollars (minus monitor) that could use vista and play all current games at max settings.
But I agree, Vista is waaay too bloated for my tastes. Honestly I find myself using Linux Ubuntu more and more because of this, it is incredibly lightweight and as long as you don't mind not being able to play games it's perfect.
