(if this turns into a debate it will go to the debate board)
Anyways has anyone heard how buggy the 360 is? Sadly in Microsofts attempt to be out first (and get the best sales) it is buggy, however the 360 came out first so it has a major advantage over the PS3 and Revolution (and the bugs will be fixed anyways, and at least they are not as buggy as the PS2 was when it came out, luckily Nintendo has always been the most stable w00t)
But moving on I dont consider the 360 or the PS3 to be The Next Generation, my PC can handle anything the 360 or PS3 can (and my PC is not top of the line). There just wasnt a big leap in technologies. Now you may be asking why I didnt say the Revolution, I do consider the Revolution next gen. Now it may not have nearly as good graphics as the 360 or PS3 but its got its revolutionary new controller (that could be really cool, or a complete flop).

[glow=red,2,300]yeah, I think the xbox 360 and PS3 are just better current-gen consoles, seeing as they are basically the same thing as their older counterparts, just with spiffier graphics and such.
but the revolution, I believe, will pwn all. I think gamers will realize that there is a point where the graphics of a game cannot get any better, and that when you reach that point, gamers will want ingenuity and gameplay, not nifty graphics and remixed NFL games. and thats where nintendo comes in. I cannot wait. [/glow]

well its no different from the PS1-PS2 jump. and the fact of the matter is, Microsoft already won the bussiness war. Only consol release to ever make money, already garenteed market share majority... microsoft proved the ever continuing trend, first out on a gen always win bussiness wise

I think the Wii is going to do the best out of the 3 consoles. I'm thinking the PS3 and 360 are going to be something of a tie. So far, I'm only going to get a Wii and a PS3. I currently have no reason to get a 360.

Well I doupt the Wii will do the best of the 3, as Nintendos sales arent anywhere close compared to Microsoft and Sony, and the Wii doesnt seems to only be popular among Nintendo fans such as our selves...
And you gotta think a ton of people play for graphics and are just laughing at the thought of the Wii... also its the style of games, 360 and PS3 have those "blow you away" type of games whereas Nintendo has those "just have fun" type of games.

Thats a good point. To add to it, theres also the specific genres to the consoles too. Nintendo generally has the titles that are for anyone, and generally has the coolest action/adventure. Playstaion has it's RPGs and seems to aim towards an audience of 13 and up. And X-Box has its war/fps games and seems to aim towards a mature audience.
BTW, also, when it came to a GameFAQs poll, most people seemed to choose the Wii out of the three systems.

BTW, also, when it came to a GameFAQs poll, most people seemed to choose the Wii out of the three systems. Yeah, theres also an answer for that, most PS/Xbox players arent mainstream, they are the type of gamers that just play when they are bored and usually play for only about an hour a week, Nintendo has the biggest number of main stream gamers which are more inclined to become "obsessed" with a game and visit a website like GameFAQs... Just shows, Nintendo has the most dedicated fanbase.

I suppose that could be true.

Well have you ever noticed how all the uber rich people at school always talk about the Xbox? Perfect example. They dont have time to put towards getting "into" a game, they just want to pick it up, play and thats it... and personaly it angers me because a lot of games have been "dummed" down so that non mainstream gamers can play it.

Something I've noticed, it seems the only thing people ever complain about when it comes to the Wii, is it's name. Kinda sad when fanboys/fangirls can't find anything to insult about a system so they attack it's name... >_>
Also, it seems like when it comes to the PS3, all people really insult is the price, that's better than a name of a system at least, but still, it's annoying hearing people complain about the price of something, especially when it's not even out yet. >_<

Well, I would say that the Playstation cost thing is fairly valid... Ive seen many complaints, most of these are something like this...
"THis sux, why should we have to pay extra for extra features? If I wanted it to do all the things a 360 can, I would have bought a 360 for less!!! I JUST WANT IT TO PLAY GAMES!" Which is totally valid, but its not like it makes the system bad or anything, all of the systems, that being the 360, the Wii and the PS3 will all be good systems, it just depends on your preferences.

Yeah, it's valid, but it's not needed to be repeated by every single person. It's just annoying to have to listen to people complain about how the system is expensive.
On a side note, a new thing that's not good for Sony, supposedly they want to charge more for the games too. Now it's just kind of getting ridiculous. Personally, I was fairly ok with an expensive system, seeing as how you just pay once for that. But paying more money for every game would be crazy >_>
