They both have their ups and downs. Really, PC can play any game, but that would be illegal to download emulators. Thus you can legally buy the games you want with the systems. Not to mention controllers are more comfortable to use. And systems and video games are more portable than a PC.

That and PCs need continuous tweaking, theres no gurantee that a game will work for your PC, you have VC ram and all that crap, console are made to play games.
But if you own a good expensive PC it is a better system.

yay PC games, only thing it lacks is fighting games (and its adventure games are mostly myst/kings quest style)

Yeah, I dont see how you can play a fighting game with a keyboard, well you could but it wouldnt be as good as a controller.
