I think that "god" can be defined many ways and that it doesn't mean a specific god so why not? It's not like it really hurts anybody by being there.

god (n.) - One that is worshiped, idealized, or followed
i think that it should stay in the pledge (why is this not a poll?)

(because a poll doesn't give us any new information since everyone is gonna state their views anyways) well what about buddists, athiests, egnostics, taoists, existentialists, and others who dont belive in god, how is it fair to them to treat them like a 2nd class citizen.

we're not treating them differently, no one is required to say the pledge

exaclty, if they don't wanna say it or think it's wrong they can just leave that part out when they say it. I mean some people I bet will say it and others won't so we should just leave it.

I think that we should leave it in but anyone who finds it disrespectful can choose not to say that part, however if more and more people find it disrespectful (if there was alot more protests on it) I think it should be removed.

Right, just like I replace the words "United States of America" with "The United Provinces of Canada" Oh Canada, wait until I graduate from college, then I shall come to thee!

Once again, the liberals are ruining society in their attempts to make everything equal for everyone at all times. You want everything to be equal? Too bad, it ain't gonna happen. No matter how hard you try, as long as people think differently, things are gonna be different for everyone, which is exactly opposite of the definition of equality.
Sure equality would be good, but at what price? The price is individuality. Equality vs. Individuality. You can't have both. Everyone must be allowed to be who they are, and forcing people to think alike by way of "equality" will take away everyone's ability to be themselves. That is the price of equality.

Well everyone can have their own beliefs and be individual but when you have something that everyone says like "under god" you are only taking away individuality, Government should not be biased, in religion.

The pledge has hardly anything to do with real government. It's just a pledge, it can't hurt anyone and it doesn't do anything. Sure government should be unbiased, but only real government. If a senator made decisions based on the bible, that would be the bias to be worried about.

god is not necessarily the god of christianity, it can be someone u worship so when u talk about budists, they have a god too and the pledge isnt specifying wut god its talking about.

Some religions (such as buddists which you incorrectly stated have a God) have no gods. According to Gamerman and Co., these religions will be offended if we don't remove the words "under God." This of course could possibly be true, but we can't have everything be equal.

first off, "under god" wasn't part of the original pledge, it was added as some "anti communist" messure. second, if you are going to have it in a government building, you should not have children who arn't religious be forced to feel like an outcast in a government building. for someone who hears 24 other people in a class of 25 say "under god", that makes the 25th seem like an outcast.
ohh, and egnostic and athiest are the 2 fastest growing religions.
