Both sports are similar in a few ways, but in a lot of ways they are very different. In my opinion I like hockey better. What does everyone else think?

You'd be surprised, lacrosse is a really violent sport. I don't think they smash into walls, but they do beat each other with sticks.

Yes, it depends which version you play, the "official" version of lacrosse requires you to wear full padding and is far more violent/dangerous than ice hockey.

Naw, hockey pwns.
Anyways, I just got back from the Minnesota State high school boy's hockey tournament semi-finals games. The last game was intense. One of the best games of hockey I ever did see. Hill-Murray vs. Grand Rapids. H-M was the top team in the state, and they only lost one game this season. And the underdog was G are having lost about nine games. Everyone assumed H-M would have an easy victory, but I was cheering for G R. G are scored the first goal of the game in the second period, but H_M came right back and scored to tie the game. G are scored two more though, and they were ahead by 2 then in the third period. But H-M was still playing really well, and G are was starting to get tired you could tell. H-R scored to make it 2 to 3 with seven minutes left. Then both teams started playing really hard and they were calling all these penalties and they were cross-checking and interfering and unsportsman-like conducting and such. . . One H-M guy even tackled someone, which was funny and the crowd was yelling "it's hockey, not football!" But then both teams were really tired and there was only a couple minutes left so Hill-Murray pulled their goalie to put six guys on the ice, but Grand Rapids held them off for the last few minutes and won. Some of the H-M guys were like crying and stuff because they lost to the underdogs. It was a great game.
Nothing better than the Minnesota State high school hockey tournament.

I just got back from the Tournament final game. Cretin pwned Grand Rapids 7 to 0. It was just sad, Grand Rapids only had 8 shots on goal to Cretin's 32. They were just a much better team and everyone knew it. Grand Rapids must be happy to get second place though.
Anyway, maybe we all should post reasons for why we like hockey or lacrosse more. I like hockey more cause it's faster and I think it takes more skill to play.

[glow=red,2,300]i like ice hockey cause, in my opinion it does take more skill, in addition to handling the puck and being able to shoot and pass and stuff, you also have to be able to skate really good. also, I just dont like seeing people running around with nets on sticks like madmen...[/glow]

I like lacrosse because it reminds me of soccer, but more hard core, so better. I know its not a choice but I think tennis beats all.

Tennis is my favorite sport too, but oh well. I didn't put it in the poll.
