I'm getting a katana soon real nice remake of a legendary sword. the hilt is gold and the blade is 100% silver. the sheath is made from a two-hundred yr old tree (I'm not sure what kind of tree but I think oak (if they have oak in japan)). the leather around the hilt is a deep blood red thats wrapped clock wise, and theres another color wrapped the other way its a deep black its so black it almost looks like its glowing blue (or so I've read). I have a picture of a similar one but I could not get a picture of the one I am getting. the sheath for the one I am getting is two-hundred yrs old. the sheath for the real one is even older. all though I'm not quite sure how old. any ways here the picture...

Yeah, its technically a real weapon, but its not a classical katana (it has a cool but not classical recurve on it), allthough it wouldnt do nearly as good as a classical design in combat its not meant for combat, its meant for looks. BTW is it made out of folded steel? Im guessing its not but ye never know. Good luck with your purchase
