If you have cancer, it's probably from gamma radiation, or smoking.

To avoid getting cancer, don't smoke.
It is also wise to stay away from radioactive materials.
The following elements are radioactive: Polonium, Plutonium, Lawrencium, Uranium, technetium, and californium. But those aren't the only ones, so don't touch anything.
Also, to avoid cancer of the skin or eye, do not look directly at the sun, or stand near it's harmful y-radiation. If you visit the sun, bring an umbrella and/or parasol.
Finally, do not stand too close to a nuclear blast, because the y-radiation long term effects can be harmful.
Follow these directions, and you will be safe from y-radiation.

Now, a few more points of advice: Use SPF 30 or higher sunblock when anywhere. Do not talk to radioactive people. Avoid all contact with cobalt, because although it is not an emitter of y-radiation, cobalt 60, a common isotope of cobalt, is highly radioactive.
Finally, if you move this thread, you will most likely absorb an incredible dosage of gamma radiation and die of radiation poisoning.

I SAID NO TALKING!!!
Now, thanks to you, if anyone posts on this thread, there are incredible amounts of Geiger counts in the near future that will lead to massive brain tumors and cancer of the face for the unlucky postee.
JIUB SAYS: lol, an interesting way to deter posts, we need an advice board all the same
