But there are so many bandwagoners out there that say "hey, everyone is against Bush. We should all vote Kerry just to go along with the crowd."
I'm sure there are some people who think for themselves, but not many.

yeah that's true so I guess we just have to hope for people to believe in what they believe in no matter what everyone else is thinking but I guess that's just being human again

He also makes a great lightweight insulator for all-purpose insulating needs!

most people think that Bush is a bad leader because people think that we are in Iraq for no reason. We need to think about that for a second because no one is going to send soldiers into Iraq and have them sit there. There are reasons, but people just don't know them. They think war is bad and since war begun while Bush was in office its his fault and hes a bad person. He's actually a great leader. I have nothing against Kerry but I would go for Bush.

As many of you know (probably) I'm not very well informed about whats going on in the world. So I have a question, why does everyone hate Bush? What exactly did he do? As far as I know, Lobstrosity is right, everyone just hates him because they say "He looks like a monkey" or "He's stupid" or "He's a republican".

Okay, for the record, I don't really keep up much with politics. I would also like to say that I am a moderate conservative. I have learned that there has always been fighting in the middle east, people dying before we were ever there. it is a highly destructive place. America's involvement simply allowed the media to cover it. This gave the illusion that America actually caused the violence, which is just not true. We are trying to establish a friendly nation and limit terrorism. Granted, this may simply be to lower gas prices, but then again: if we lower gas prices by making people happy, what's the big problem? It's the insurgants that are causing many of the problems, not the average citizens, in fact, many of the cities in Iraq are peaceful, how often to we hear about that? The media goes for ratings, not realism. Sometimes we cant believe in what they say alone. I'm not saying that I agree with the war, I'm just saying that hindsight is always 20/20. Basicly, if we look back, we can easily find ways to do things better. Honestly, how would you have reacted if a terrorist group killed a few thousand of your citizens in an attempt to ruin your country? I can't speak for you, but I'm betting you would have taken action. Don't let my rants about the war make you think I am completely with Bush, though. I am completely against the privatization of social security, as companies actually need to adhere to the laws of capitolism, whereas the government does not. The risk of giving money to a private owenership is not something that I would consider a good idea. All in all, I need to say one thing. No leader is perfect, and I can guarentee that each great leader in history has made at least one big blunder. In fact, I'm betting that Lincoln made a number of errors in office. Everyone makes mistakes, even leaders of countries.

Now I personaly hate Bush, Nader and Kerry, but I would think Bush was a great president if he actualy kept to his word and worked on the manned mission to mars (which wont happen in the next 10 years like he said) but then again we are at war but he should still fund NASA more, it has sooo much benefits, thats why I say JFK was a great president, he wasnt full of sound bytes like Bush

many presidents have there speaches written for them. u might say something like i'm going to excecute you but when u realize that u may be the one who kills a person then u may back down. we dont know if there are complications with the certain state of a promise. we cant accuse people of lying because we have no idea wut they are thinking.

A THIRD TERM FOR CLINTON! (only in my dreams)
Also, I'd like you to know that every one of you who decided on Bush is a complete and total moron who is obviously blind to society's problems. If the media hates bush so much, then why did he win? The answer: FOX News Corporation and southern religious bigots. If ANYONE read my post in the media thread, you would get where I'm coming from, but of course, you all prefer diversions and lies to the truth. Now I just have to wait and see this post ignored just like all the others I've made on the debate board.

many presidents have there speaches written for them. Well yeah but thats not a sound byte, almost everything he says is like "I believe in the people of America" which is understandable because he isnt a good speaker but that is something I and most people look for in a leader.
