It's all up for grabs, while there could be other planets with life on them (think of the odds, so many planets) the chances are smaller that they'd be intelligent enough to interact with if we ever were able to reach them.
Looking at numbers of planets and probability, whether or not there is life on other planets, we will never truly know unless we somehow get lucky beyond comprehension.

Or mess with technology (probably discover teleportation and mess with that) to the point where we all get killed by something and end the world as we know it...or maybe not...
But anyways, since there probably is another intelligent race somewhere, rather than relying on our luck finding them, what if they just found us?

That's the thing, even if there was other lfe out there intelligent to travel in space, they'd have to be damn good at it to find us ( a hell of a lot better than us). Think how many planets we've actually been able to visit with probes, let alone astronauts. Not many at all. Then again if the intelligent life had such great space travel to find us they might think us too primitive for interaction.
There's so much to think about, and I don't have the time or energy tonight to post it.

Hey Vash, if you are such a devout Christian, why do you believe there is intelligent life elsewhere? Unless I am mistaken, the proper Christian view on that subject is that God created us and only us.
Anyway, there is already a thread like this. . . But I do think there is probably life on other planets.

Yes, the chances of life being out there is quite big, however they are most likely single cellular organisms.
As for the devout christian thing, the bible was written by a man a long time ago, then edited several times over the years (by man) so who says thats how it actualy happened? Being a proper christian is knowing and understanding the flaws in your faith as I dont take the Bible seriously, however I would say its a book that can teach some morale value to people. I accept the fact that there may not be a God, but the way I figure it is having a belief in god can help me in my life, and living the way jesus lived is a great way to live, so I guess ill find the answer when I die.

Yeah, and we are at a fairly new part of the universe. I want to believe that we arent alone in the universe, but so far there isnt any conclusive evidence...

Okay anyways, I was asking Vash, not you Azan. Vash probably does take the bible seriously.

Yeah, I got kind of carried away with it and forgot what I was replying to. But I kind of posted it for all Christians who do take the bible seriously though as most people don't realize that the Bible is not the word of God, and it even says that in the Bible itself .

And I agree with Azans response to that too.

I don't remember the reasoning, but I did ask about it and them church guys said God created just us, and we were supposed to rule over all other animals.

All church's are different, as I have observed some Catholic churches find Harry Potter evil but most dont, usually it depends on the amount of old people. But church is conforming to new finds in science, they arent outright denying what science is prooving (well some are but most dont...).
