Since if you use common sense, it's easy to see that there is no God. I must disagree, you can never disproove the existance of god, but his existance has not been prooven so... its personal belief. Just saying, you have the right to believe that there is no god, but please be mindful of those who do, as it can be quite offensive to some the way you said it.

Oh I'm terribly sorry. I must have offended all y'all who believe in God. But honestly, how can y'all believe in something so outrageous as a divine magical being who creates things and governs everything?

Well, I would say that I believe in God or a higher power... well actually I more believe that there is more to the Universe than what we can see our know for that matter, but if you are going to call it God I do not believe he governs/creates everything and I do not neccisarily believe that he is magical or divine. (please note that my views are a bit more complex, but I dont have time to put it down)...
However there are those who believe that he is an allknowing divine being that creates and governs everything, and ill respect their views, as I respect yours... but in response to your question... I cant answer that as I dont really fit the criteria, but perhaps someone else can.

[glow=red,2,300]meh, I think its hard not to believe in a God, or something bigger than us. how do you explain how we got here? evolution? that's way harder for me to believe than the existence of something we cannot explain, that created us just because He wanted to.
thats just my opinion, but I see God as an easier explanation than evolution.
God is just another of the myriad of things that we dont understand, and I can accept that more than some flimsy theory about chance and time.[/glow]

Oh sure, if something's too hard to believe because there's only a small chance that it could happen, just forget it and say 'God did it.' Why have science when we can be perfectly happy knowing God is taking care of us? Why worry about the future when He is guiding us? Why worry about death when we can all be happy in afterlife? All it takes is a little faith, eh? Worship and believe in Him and He'll take care of y'all, huh? Then we can all be happy peasants worshipping a grand fairytale being with the power to create existence. It's easier to understand, so why bother believing something else? I for one will not be fooled into being a follower of a non-existent being for no reason. There's no evidence to say there is a God. Honestly, there can't be a God. It's just uncommon sense.

Not evidence to say there is not a God necessarily, but evidence to say that a God is not feasible. For instance the laws of thermodynamics which have been proven by everything we've ever done state that matter is not created nor destroyed, and all energy conversions will transfer more energy into simpler states. I know Azan has said frequently that you shouldn't take the bible literally, but that point aside, God could not have made everything like it says.
Anyway DbtT, your scientific process is backwards. You're never supposed to assume things are true until they are proven false, you're supposed to assume things are false until proven true.

All ill say is this... There is almost no chance of convincing the other of your own views... and we are all entitled to our own views as well, so you should respect others views.
Wow thats worded kinda badly... but oh well... the point still stands. This is just like debating about Abortion... sure you can put all the facts/statements you want into your argument, but you probably arent going to change the others opinion on the subject.

You notice everytime we bring up the fact that "no matter what you can't change someone's opinion" that some threads (like this one) and the debate board just kinda stops?...

Indeed, it is true though. And luckily both sides can agree to it.
If only the rest of the world realised that, the middle east wouldnt be as crappy.

It would be cool if that happened, like running around on a planet where everyone has an identity, without an identity, just a glitch in the system.
