Is this a thread that you can asked like a "Ever wonder?" question and it is like that so liek general or is this just about this question? Because if you ask me I feel this should be in General...

Uhh, it should stay here, cause if you ask me, the idea of God messing up and creating you by accident sounds pretty paranormal to me...But I have been thinking of other questions to ask, I'm just waiting a bit to see if this one goes any further.

So even though the Godess may have created someone as a mistake, they still work into theh grand design, you say? I doubt it could happen.
Of course, I believe in reincarnation, so "being created" kinda dosen't much work. (gotta love that soul recycling...mmm-mmm-good)

Yea. I agree with Demon on this one. With reincarnation. I mean with reincarnation it doesnt work that way.

you know....i think ive thought about something similar to this. its like this...what if you only existed in the thoughts of someone else. what if everything you did....everything you believed in....wasnt actually reality....or if it were all some big dream....that right before you die...when people say your whole life flashes in front of your eyes...that its really you just waking up. what if your subconsious is actually your consious and that where you are right now is your body's actual subconsious...so what you think is happening....really isnt. what if what if.....its really confusing when you think about it...and goes on forever. hmph. lol.

I have thought of something on the same order to be truthful. lol. I use to think like that when I was younger that we were like just a toy or in a box on a self and there is a bigger and more or less wonderful world out there and we are just a tiny part to this other world. And like with more closer it is like to me we exsist but we were created for entertainment. Or we die and live but we die before we truely live, that may not make much sense but if you think about it people say that you go to Heaven or Hell after you die. Well, what if we are dead and this is like heaven or hell. Or something. Ehh, complications in my head...

Eh, I see no point to thinking these things, as they would be needless complications and science is always the path of the simplist explanation.

Science messes with peoples beliefs and tells us how to live our lives >_<

I would say that its religion that tells us how to live our lives in their own views...
Just remember, without science there is a 99.999999999999999999 percent chance you wouldnt exist.
BTW how does science tell us how to live our lives? Sure they influence us by telling us to eat healthy for example... but is that bad?
However in response to Lobstrosity , I do not see anything wrong with thinking about that stuff, sorting through your own mind is the only way you can see who you really are.

Well, it more so just ends up proving our beliefs wrong, and where does our hope have to go if what we believed in was proven false?

Sure ignorance is bliss, but it doesnt get us anywhere...
Plus science can never disproove the important beliefs, such as morals, and even where we go when we die, also it cant proove that there is no god either.
But if your belief is that the Earth is flat, then wouldnt you rather know that its round? And the same with evolution, but just because evolution exists does that mean there is no god?

but just because evolution exists does that mean there is no god? Actually I believe there's some sort of combination. Who's to say that those "7 days" in the bible weren't really just billions of years? Anyways, it all depends on what the belief is, I mean, I believe theres some things we could live without, and some that we couldn't live without, you know? And I suppose this should be some kind of debate, or at least discussed in another thread.

See thats the main problem, peoples beliefs are centered around things such as the Bible, do not take the Bible literally or your asking for trouble.
But still, what beliefs could science disproove of that would cause harm? Lets just say that science prooved that the Bible was written by some crazy guy, does that mean that their stories are of any less worth? No, just because the Bible was written by a maniack does not mean that there was no jesus, the Bibles just tell stories to make the mind question, which is what science is all about.

Which brings up one of my ideas. When I get the time and whenever I feel like it, I'm gonna start my own religion. I have it all planned out, it'll be great. Better than those "in your face" religions. Since if you use common sense, it's easy to see that there is no God. Which means religion is an evolutionary adaptation, so it can't be simply eliminated. Well, it can, but maybe it's not a good thing to do. Anyway, my new religion is based on that. I'll work out a "bible" of sorts for it later.
