While its support for graphics sucks it is a really easy language to learn (and its free) so if you dont want to make graphics things, and you are new to prgramming then python is for you (or blitz because thats easy too, but it isnt free, great demo though) get it at www.python.org

how come python is so easy but I still dont' get it? I can wrtie the programs and stuff but its sooooooo long!!!!

lol, programming can be an arduous task, but if you understand the basics of python, I would recommend moving up to Blitz Basic (www.blitzbasic.com), depending on the focus of your programming. What sort of programs do you write?

Well I wouldnt reccomend moving to blitz unless you want to program games. And yes programming tends to be easy and yet hard at the same time, all I can say is practice practice practice
