"HE CAN'T BE HUMAN!" one of the guards shrieked as Iager finished off another of the hapless warriors. With a flick of his wrist, the chain came swinging around, snaring three of the guard's spears. He pulled it in swiftly, and caught the weapons as the chain whizzed by. He flung the polearms aside and came ever closer in his deadly dance of death. (I love saying that, it just sounds cool.) A thrust of the chain whizzed by a soldier's head but then it came back, the spikes erupting from his face. He closed within distance so that the guards could use their swords, but as they drew them, the weights of each chain caught them on the front of their chests, ripping out the better part of their ribcages and spilling their entrails on the floor.
Iager laughed, soaked in blood. This is what he lived for. A demonic grin crossed his face as he spotted another cluster of terrified guards and slowly began to close, his chain swinging slowly as he walked.

((UPDATE: THE ITALICS WORK NOW YAY! Now I can fix all of my posts, and I suggest everyone do the same))
Hearing the mention of the accursed wind thief, Ramos was able to pierce the cloud of anger surrounding his mind. That man will pay dearly for this before I am done. I must temper my anger if I am to overcome him. I shall not extinguish my burning righteousness, but let it diminish, giving me control of my actions. And with these soothing thoughts, Ramos' body relaxed significantly, and his sword's flame grew smaller. Taking some deep breaths, he said, "I am ready. We shall hunt down this evil and purge it from the land. You may lead the way, young one." He then sheathed his sword and let out a sharp whistle. Almost instantly, his horse was by his side, and he mounted it, taking a spear that was previously hidden behind some baggage. "Time for the hunt."
((The horse is an extension of Seig's character, so please don't kill it. It can be disabled and hurt, like any other character, but don't kill it.))

((And who says that a horse can't go into a building? In every Fire Emblem game, mounted units are allowed to enter the castle areas. The horse is INSIDE the building, we're not going outside.))

((sorry for the long abscence... I sortof got addicted to an actual RPG for the past couple weeks. The upside is, I have some really cool ideas. Let's see... Lobby's character needs mention. I'll edit this post with the actual thing in moments.) Perfect... his consuming rage with be my ally tonight. The child's eyes suddenly locked on to a third -living- being in the room. Although his body looked weakened, Kearn reasoned he must be powerful of the assassin did not murder him... or perhaps he was important to the wind follower. Either way would profit the boy. "You there! I know not why you are in these halls, nor do I know why you are not dead. It seems, though, that a friend of ours," Kearn nods his head towards the fire-wielder,"has brought you great plauge. Follow us to this one and I shall reward you greatly." Kearn let his message sink in for a moment before speaking again. "What do you say?" A lone gust of wind rushes through the castle, creating an eerie howl throughout the town. The moon was full, shedding light directly onto the injured man. The noise and the moon almost made the castle seem like it was a lycanthrope, as if it was alive. Kearn's skin tightened with cold, he felt something, something outside of this giant werewolf there was something brewing...

(I know I'm double posting, let me explain. I actually have a big over-arching story line for the role play, and I will drop a little bit of it in every once in awhile. I'm trying to slowly establish your characters as well as the lands themselves. Sometimes, like this post, I will tell of coming events or give some background information on the Yrimmuas. Unless I state otherwise, these events will take place the day after I post them -so this will start happening in the morning- and your characters will most likely not know of them, unless they are apparant. Sometimes I will post legends or lore of Yrimmuas, assume that your characters have known this the whole time, but have said nothing (unless I say otherwise). Very rarely, I will post other people's perspectives that are not directly part of the main group. The characters should not know of this unless - you guessed it (I hope)- I say otherwise. Most of the time these wont be imperative to the story, so you can read them at your discretion, however, I hope that they will expand your and your character's understanding of the lands of Yrimmuas.)
The voice of the gods is something of a mystery. Sometimes the mysteries can be solved, other times they can be severely misinterpereted. The father's of Yrimmuas never seemed to fully understand this. The one thing that they realized was that although the voice of a god was hard to hear, the voice of a man was spread like wildfire. Thus began the priesthoods of Yrimmuas. Each of the four priesthoods -knew- how to behave. Each -knew- how to spread this behavior. Each -knew- that confused minds would listen to them. Few know the anger they have caused. Since the beginning of time, it seems, disputes on the "true" way to live were the governing force of Yrimmuas. Although all of them contained small parts of the truth, none of them seemed whole. Due to this, the four broke into 12 - the knowing was becoming more specific. More were there "truths", more was the anger. Now, the gods seemed to have become confused, their power has waned, it's effects have been devestating. The skies were gray, the demi-gods nearly died, the tribunals lost all power. Confusion wraught the landscape, priests began to doubt the calling. Perhaps they had been wrong? If history has proven anything, it is that power rarely stays in the balance for long, and confusion rarely brings about fellowship. The gods are returning their gaze to the lands, their confusion has swept up the fires of hatred inside of them, their places are known to them now more than ever. Confusion is the bastard child of knowledge. The ever-shifting father is anger. As the power is returning, so to is the piety of the worshippers. Armies are amassing within temples, the tribunal study their teachings, the demi-gods ravage the lands. A holy war is brewing. It seems, that the only thing that anger has begotten, is conflict...

The earth follower's gaze slowly moved from the bloody floor to the one who had spoken to him a moment ago. Drake did not care much for material items or wealth. "You can keep your reward, little boy." He said. "I will go with you, if only because I now have nothing better to do." Drake leaned against the wall and looked at the floor once more. Although his face did not show it, he was deep in thought.
There is something about this child that I don't trust. . .
Drake was already starting to regret his decision to go along. Revenge was good, but he did not wish to get involved in anything he couldn't fight his way out of. He sensed something was about to happen in the world. . . something he would end up playing a major part of.

Kearn smiled at the man's integrity. "I shall keep my reward, though perhaps a greater one shall find you. Quickly, we must make haste if we are to destroy the one who did this to you. If the need arises for either of you to call for me," The boy looks at both of the fighters in the room,"Call me Kearn, I'll make a formal introduction later." Without any further words, Kearn willed his runes to lead him to a man who walked with death and made it his ally. A number of impulses told him to go away from the castle, a curious thought crossed Kearn's mind for but a moment, though it slipped out as words: "They have awakened already?" His aura of confidence drained, as well as some of the blood from his face. Taking the lead of the small group he had banded together, the boy walked with a strange step, almost stumbling at moments, down a long branching hallway. He was following the second strongest impulse that the runes told him to follow. Stopping abruptly, Kearn caught sight of the man standing on the opposite side of a large dining hall. The immensity of the room was awesome, it's cieling seemed to touch the stars, it's walls were spaced apart so that one could hardly make out the intricate designs engrafted upon the far wall. The only other item of curiosity was the table that spread lengthwise through the rectangular cavern of a hall. It nearly touched the door on either side. Kearn couldn't tell if the red marks all over were the products of spilled wine - or spilled blood. Food still adorned the table, as well as numerous body parts of political figures in the city. Many lower priests were slaughtered along the halls. Any person with enough skill to destroy this many wielders of the elements was amazing. That man was staring back at Kearn from the other end of the table, swinging his chain menacingly. Whispering to himself, Kearn tried to regain his lost courage. The sound of twin swords slinking out of thier sheaths filled the room, echoing throughout the hall. "And so it begins..."

Iager saw the group enter the room and let out a hearty laugh.
"At last! I thought you'd never make the party! I was getting ever so bored. Come, let us dance!"
Iager gracefully advanced, the barbed chain swinging in two directions simultaneously. Suddenly, one end of the chain came forward, then just as quickly retracted. Before anyone realized what was happening, the other end was swiftly swining in a low arc, straight twoard Kearn's lower legs.
