Who's Alan Rickman?
If he is who I think he is, then i'm not going to see the movie.

Ohh!!!! I see.... And here I thought Alan Rickman was Hitler reincarnated.
Why would a robot hate life, robots aren't even alive.

ha ha. just cuz he is a robot doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings. maybe he doesn't like being a robot so he hates life.

[sigh] now I have to explain everything... anyway, marvin the robot (rickman) is the first and only robot made with feelings. he realizes that he's worthless and is forever depressed. I honestly don't know why he didn't kill himself

W00t I just saw that movie, and I have to say, it would be great for late night parties. When I went, I was in a very skeptical mode, and it still made me merrily giggle with spontanously combustable glee. Granted, it was just giggle, but the humor is so... satirical that you just can't not see it. Seriously. Go watch it. Then read the book. P.S. Ray liked it...
