Mesmerised by the amazing amount of magic Koran had just cast, the man in the door didn't see Koran whip out a silver staff and shift his weight into a defensive position as he stood up. The drunk stood up to his full height, and smiled a yellow grin when he realized how much taller he was compared to the young mage. However, the booze in his veins made a considerable difference. Throwing all of his weight into his left hand, the bulky man hefted a fist towards Koran's face. Thinking quickly, Koran smacked away the fist with the butt end of the shaft, and brought up the head of the staff to hit him in the side of the face. The light, yet quick blow from the silvery staff sent the man spinning around, and his drunkeness did not help him at all. It was at this point that Koran saw a hooded man standing in the doorway.
Azan!

“Koran, good to see you, I see you’ve gotten yourself into a little fight” replied Azan as he stabed the last nearly unconsous drunkard in the chest. The fight now being over or so Azan thought, looked around at the mess of blood a alchohal “Damn, this is too unavoidable, Koran can you cast invisibility on us?” replied Azan knowing he wouldn’t be able to sneak away as he heard guards coming. “Ok here is the plan Koran we run over to the South Wall Corner Club, I heard some travelers on my way here talking about it, it should be great for hiding till the heat dies down, plus the guards don’t know who they are looking for, and my guess is that all of these men are too drunk to remember exactly what we look like or what transpired here.”<br>

"No problem," replied Koran as he began to cast the spell. However, as soon as the incantation ended, Koran fell to his knees with fatigue. I must have used up the rest of my Magicka on that unexpected spell! Looking around, Koran was lucky to find a bottle of blue liquid on the body of one of the drunks. Drinking it, he found a feeling of warmth in his arteries, but at the same time, his muscles weakened as he cast the invisibility spell. Strength leaving his every muscle, he kneeled on the ground as the guards passed him and Azan by.

Meanwhile, Gelltor sat in a room at the inn building a house of cards.

Elthari had to keep himself from drawing his blade right there. "You just killed that man! He was defenseless! You...." Elthari trailed off, he hadn't meant to yell. Killing an enemy was not a terrible thing. He just wasn't expecting such cold heartedness. Now he definately had to keep an eye on the dunmer. The breton just didn't want to lose a good mercenary. "Is there an inn in the area we could stay at instead?" Eying the, now, mutilated body, Elthari took a deep breath of air, facing away from its stench, and reached down to help lug it over to the river. Helping to dump it into the water. Once more, the battle mage cleaned and wiped his hands in the river. Scanning the city for signs of an inn, not wanting to stay alone with Vendir. "What of that? Over there? The... Southwall corner club?"

As he waited for Azan to help him, Koran realized that he was still invisible, and that Azan could not see him. Looking at the same body that had supplied him with a magicka potion, he found what appeared to be a bottle of Flin smuggled from the tavern. Racking his brain for the properties of Flin, Koran remembered that it could restore strength! Downing the rest of the bottle in one gulp, Koran stood up, and as he did so, saw the same man he had seen before with the blue liquid, only now the man looked off towards the cornerclub.
Interesting... but what does it mean?

Pointing a hard, cold stare at Elthari, Vendrid spoke in a voice filled with malice.
"You're shocked that I killed a defensless man, eh? You think it's cold hearted? Monsterous? Dishonorable? You'd be absolutely right. because every semblance of my humanity was stripped away when I witnessed my helpless mother die at the tong's hands. My father as well, trying to protect us from them. And then drafting me as a pickpocket at the age of seven. It was when I worked with the tong I learned how to kill. I had to get close to a kindly Hilaau official, pretending to be an escaped slave boy, then slitting his throat in his sleep. That was when I was eleven. I've never regretted killing anyone, expecially not those tong bastards who made me the monster I am."
His voice trailed off, filled with pain. he stared at ground for what seemed like hours, then his head snapped up.
"The south wall? It's a den of theives, criminals and assasins, and it also happens to be my favorite spot in town. Come on, I'll buy you a drink."
And when you're drunk off your ass, I'll kill you and take all that gold.
Vendir tried to find some pleasue in this thought, but couldn't seem to now.

Elthari faltered for a moment. "I... I'm sorry, I had no idea." He averted his eyes to the ground as they slowly walked on in silence. Elthari was not sure how to feel at that moment. He never thought anything like that would happen to someone. Elthari swallowed and spoke in a hushed tone as they approached the door to the cornerclub. "I honestly didn't mean to offend you."

Lying on his back, staring at the sky. Or rather, that's what he would have been doing had his eyes been open. Instead, his eyes were firmly shut, anticipating the pain that had been comming to him. For it was that just moments ago, he was 50 feet in the air, floating toward hlaalo manor, on a mission from the head honcho himself, Gentleman Jim Stacy, equipped with all the neccesary thiefy tools and weapons, about to find out how cutting costs by buying inferior potions, can lead to poor performance in one's duties. He was Reonis Vahzl, a Blackcap in the thieves' guild, selected from a handful of promising members to be promoted. At this moment, his mind was engaged with a long list of words, against his better judgement, he chose to shout off one at a time, further compromising his mission to steal a small box of gems located in the manor. As he got up, he looked at the 4 people that were staring at him with curious and confused looks.
"Nothing to see here folks, just passing through."
The 4 people were unconvinced, to say the least.
He picked up his small steel dagger and a well crafted lockpick from the ground, and headed to the local branch of the thieves' guild, the corner club, to meet his contact that he was supposed to report back to after getting the gems.
"This wont be good..." Reonis thought, pondering what he would have to do to make up for his failure.
Inside the cornerclub, he awaited, nervously, for his contact.

Opening the door to the cornerclub, Vendir muttered over his shoulder.
"It's nothing. If you had offended me, you'd be dead by now. There I go again. Sorry."
His voice trailed off, lacking it's former strength and mischeviousness. He plopped down on a bar stool and motioned for Elthari to sit next to him.
"Hey, barkeep! HEY! Yeah, two mazle here, an' make it quick. I got a lot I wanna forget about."
He emptied several change purses to come up with the thirty gold, and took the drinks from the barkeep. He then handed one to Elthari, ever so discreetley dropping a small amount of white powder into it as it moved.
"So, tell me, what's it like up in Khull?"

Taking a deep swig of the new drink, Elthari eyes Vendir cautiously. "Its quite nice, in fact..." The breton's face turned a strange color as he began choking on the liquor. Soon, he was coughing it out, the taste incredibly strange to him. "Not like any drink I've ever had...," Elthari continued with his story, "In fact, I remember staring out at the ocean every morning from my room..." The room seemed to grow a little brighter, a strange feeling coming over the battle mage. I can't be drunk already... I've never been bested by a single sip of anything. His world was swirling, losing his balance, Elthari fell from his chair to the floor, spilling most of the drink on himself. A moment later, he regained some of his composure, and stood up again, weakly. "Strong drink, huh?" Elthari felt strange, not drunk, almost sick.

By the time he was up, Vendrid was on him, a swift kick sending the Breton sprawling. For a split second, he stood over him, ready to deliver the coup de grace, But couldn't bring himself to. He used the raised sword to cut free the change purse and then went out the door. He walked away slowly, staring at the ground.
You are a monster.

As he watched this, Reonis got up and casually walked over to Elthari, deciding not to wait for his contact.
"sooo, need any help there?"
He reached into his pack, taking out 2 small vials. One of dispel, one of antidote.
"I don't know what that was he put in your drink, but be it magical or chemical, these should help. Although I do belive that kick shall bruise."
He tipped the potions into the breton's mouth, then took the nearest seat, waiting for the breton to recover.

Coughing, Elthari strained to breathe. It took all he had just to sit up. That was when he noticed. It's gone! That vile rat of a dumer! In his rage, Elthari almost forgot about the kind soul who had helped him. Turning over to look at this new face, Elthari scanned him, newly untrusting. Although the breton's head was still swimming, he could make out the man's visage clearly. "Thank you, I'm sorry that I cannot stay." With haste, the young man stood. Once more, the feeling of drunkeness overcame him. Nearly collapsing, Elthari rested his hand on the table the new man had been sitting at. Only then did he hear the rain. "Confound it all! By the Daedra, now I shall never find that... that filth!" I have failed...

Having just fully regained his strength, Koran stood and watched as the dunmer thief ran away from the cornerclub. Koran had seen the man enter with a breton, but now he came out with the breton's possesions. thinking to himself, he realized that there was no time to call the officials. It was time to take the law into his own hands. "Azan! That man is a thief! We should follow him!" yelled Koran, waiting for a response.
