Basically I'm building a retro RPG engine and I'm at a point where I need to check the frame rate on different computers just in case it may need tweaking... currently you can only walk around a small room, no battling or anything... just walking heh. Anyways heres the zip, just download it, unzip it then open it and click on MAIN, this will run the program, in the upper left hand corner you will see FPS please tell me what its average was (not exact, but it should be above 60 at all times, and less than 70)... Also you will get to see that the engine I have been working on isn't vaporware. Also please tell me how good your comp is if you don't know thats ok though. (also don't judge the engine, I just made this quick little map for testing which has image errors in it if you look closely EDIT: Please note I post it here because its more likely to be seen. (Note you need to copy and paste this link into your browser bar, clicking on it may not work) www.freewebs.com/azan00/rpgEngineEarlyBeta.zip

Really? Did you unzip the folder before running the program? BTW if this is an error thanks a ton for finding it.

Ok for the most part doors are done, you can get a demo here... dont forget to unzip it first, also copy and paste this link into your browser bar or it may not download. www.freewebs.com/azan00/demo02.zipAlso this file includes the map editor I used to make the level you play at, you can try it out, but it wont do you much good as you cant load, you can save though, but you wont be able to try the level either. Also the controls will probably be difficult, the keys you use are fairly random (as I wrote the map editor for myself so I could make levels but you can test it out if you want). Save is CTRL + S and if the left mouse button doesnt work/do anything try the right one.

What part of the sig do you mean? Like the graphics, or the random quotes with the page views?

Ok, for the image I just used my Photoshop skills, except for the grey celtic bird design which was a brush I used...
As for the randomness, thats my PHP programming skills at work, basically I host a code on NZ which generates an image from a background image... its kinda hard to explain...
