I plan to buy a Mini, then move to Quebec and attend college there. I want to persue a career in journalisim or political sciences, but I may wind up in some type of engineering job. (audio, maybe?)

Okay then. You've all told me your plans for the future. Now in case you haven't already heard mine, I'll tell you. I plan on going to Alaska once school is over. I'm going to spend all my money on some survival gear, and maybe a rifle of some kind. Then I'm going to walk to Alaska, and live in the wilderness there. Hopefully I'll be able to avoid the government, and if they find me I'll head over to canada and live there. I'll build some kind of shelter and hunt small animals and bears. I'm also gonna write books, so that future generations may find my frozen corpse and read them. Maybe they'll become bestsellers. Hopefully whoever finds them doesn't take the credit. They can have the money, I just want the credit to be attributed to my frozen corpse. Well, I might die before I get any writing done. That would be a real shame.
So anyway, that's my plan for the future. The only question is whether or not to go to college first.

too many people are entering the video game industry, with a degree that doesn't work for anything other than video games. A. Video game companies dont care what your degree is. THe lead designer at ES (Greg Street) is a PhD in Marine Biology. the leader of bungie, if I remember right, has no degree. THe lead designer at half-life (gabe newell) has a 2 year degree in marketing. B. Too many people are trying to get video game jobs in the first place, the market can't handel them all as it is, as more poeple try to become video game designers, its going to get harder and harder and harder to get a job. C. A degree in video game design offers you no alternate career possibilities. If you can't become a video game designer, then your degree is useless (where as the talents of some degrees can be carried over to other career paths if needed).

Yes theres a future in vodeo game creation, but only for a few people, and these are the best of the best.
Except a degree in programming can be used in such things as robotics or some math thing, physic etc.
A degree in visual animation or something can be used in movie creations
But all in all it being a video game creator is incredibly difficult to get in and even then the job isnt even that fun (having seen someone who made a video game before, he said he would never do it again) the point is is just because its difficult you shouldnt stop with your dream, start now and get some experience.

Since the only person I've ever loved has abandoned me, I am reinstating the "Alaska Plan."

Well, not sure if the last post was sarcastic or not. If you were being serious, then I am sorry...
Anyways, I hope to get into Columbia College in New York City, and learn as much as I can about psychology. Right now I have a keen interest in that field and I want to see if it's the career for me. If it is, then I will become a psychologist as my own private practice or maybe be on-hand at a hospital as a medical psychologist.
Failing that, I want to be somewhere in the broad area of health/medicine.

I've gotta decide whether to sail to Alaska or fly to Alaska, or I might not go to Alaska at all.
