Final fantasy is not a strategy game and should be left in the Final Fantasy board, the only one that I would allow letting go here is FF: Tactics and FF:TA and even they arn't much of a strategy game.
If you are gonna debate everything, then you lose the entire purpose of catagorizing games. Are you gonna call Morrowind a FPS because you are first person and you shoot things, are you gonna call Age of Empires an RPG because you play a role (king), or say chess is an adventure game because the pawns make the adventure of going from one end of the board to the other. Almost everything can be said to be almost any category, but games are classified by their most predominant feature. And the most predominant feature of FF is RPG, the most predominant in Age of Empires is Strategy, thus one is one and the other is the other, end of story.(its funny seeing people try to make Final Fantasy games into more than they are, when even the people who made the game would disagree with them.)
and when driving you use a car, and you use a wheel, that doesn't make them the same, just as tactics and strategy arn't the same.

Tactics is part of strategy, and is very closely related to strategy. close enough that you could say that tactics is strategy, and MOST people would not argue about it.
a steering wheel and a car are not the same, I get it!
And for the LAST time, I am not saying FF is a strategy game, I am just saying that there is SOME strategy in it!!

Right, but at it's core it is an RPG, thus does not belong here.

I didn't start talking about it, bad-monkey did. And all I did was tell bad-monkey that it wasn't a strategy game, but did require strategy. And it would have ended there, but Gamerman had to start whining and crying about how it's not strategy it's tactics, which may be technically so (but it's not), but he doesn't have to get all crazy just because I said it's strategy, any normal person would not care if I used the word strategy in place of the word tactics because they are so close they are practically interchangeable. THERE!
